House at Quinta da Beloura

Sintra, Portugal

For this house at Quinta da Beloura, the architect and owner’s choice was for the marble Golden Cream.

Of an excellent quality-price combination, this material paved all the living rooms, entrance halls and common areas of the house, being sometimes combined with a border strip of Emperador Dark, a brownish marble.
All the pavements were supplied with no finishing (sawed) and were later polished after being fixed.

For the interior stairs to access the downstairs multi-purpose room, parts were already provided in a polished finish, as the polishing after laying would be imperfect. Note the beauty of some details such as the rounded edges of the steps and the stone “carpets” on each skid created by the stereotomy and layout of the same marble: Goloden Cream.
